Stockton Town are hoping to take another step along their fairytale road to Wembley when they Windsor come to Bishopton Road West on Saturday.

Stockton have come from nowhere to play in the quarter finals this afternoon, as just two seasons ago they were playing on a school field in the Wearside League.

Manager Micky Dunwell said; “the club has come on in leaps and bounds, both on and off the field, in the last two seasons. It’s hard to believe that we’re just three games away from Wembley.

Hopefully, a big crowd will come and watch us. We’ve noticed that when Boro aren’t playing at home then our attendances go up, so hopefully with Boro at Sunderland then plenty of their fans will turn up and support us for the day.

“We had nearly 700 in the ground for previous Vase matches, so hopefully we’ll get over 900 for the game.

“A crowd that big can make a big difference for our players, and hopefully might make Windsor more nervous.”

Stockton have got scouting reports on their Hellenic League opponents, and Dunwell said; “We think we know what to expect, but I’m more concerned about how our lads play. I don’t think they’ll freeze.

“We know that on our day, that we can beat anyone because we’ll always create chances.”
