Shildon increased the misery on Guisborough, the division’s bottom club, with a 4-2 win at the King George tonight.

Guisborough took the lead on 9 minutes when a shot by Steve Roberts was blocked and Anthony Hume followed up and scored.

Shildon levelled when Matty Robson’s penalty was pushed on to the bar by the Guisborough keeper Jordan Nixon, but Robson scored from the rebound.

The on form Lewis Wing made it 2-1 with a long range shot, then he fired the third into the top corner.

Robson was then dismissed for a last man foul, but that didn’t deter Shildon who went 4-1 up on the hour with a curler by Wing. Tom Bligh pulled a goal back with a deflected shot from the edge of the box.

Morpeth beat Sunderland RCA 3-2 at Craik Park to stay fourth.

Stephen Callen put RCA into the lead with a header, but Keith Graydon equalised from the spot just on half time. Denver Morris nodded Morpeth into the lead, then Marc Walton made it 3-1. Colin Larkin pulled one back for RCA from the spot.

Stockton Town will play Northallerton in the final of the Ernest Armstrong Cup after they beat Durham City 4-3 on penalties last night.

Stockton took the lead in just the second minute when Tom Coulthard headed in, but Durham equalised through Dan O’Reilly from an acute angle.

Kallum Hannah put Stockton into the lead again from the spot on 32 minutes, but Durham levelled midway through the second half through a Brad Hird penalty after a foul by Coulthard.
