Shildon moved into the semi finals of the BM Northern League Cup with a 3-0 home win over Stockton Town last night.

The Railwaymen took the lead after 6 minutes with a shot by Micky Rae , and went 2-0 up midway through the half when Lewis Dodds and Lewis Wing combined for Wing to fire home. Stockton were reduced to ten men when midfielder Kevin Hayes was dismissed for a two footed lunge.

Wing hit the bar in the second half , before Billy Greulich-Smith scored the third from a Paul Connor cross near the end.

South Shields won 2-1 at Newcastle Benfield, for whom Paul Brayson missed a late penalty.

Michael Richardson have Shields the lead, and even though Benfield had Stephen Tobin sent off, Brayson equalised from the penalty spot on 77 minutes. Richardson put Shields back in front, before Brayson’s late miss.
