Newton Aycliffe are looking for revenge when they face Marske United at Moore Lane this afternoon.

Aycliffe 3-0 to Marske in the first week of the season, but they have hit top form since then, putting eight past West Allotment in midweek to stay in third place in the table.

Defender Scott Howes and midfielder Stuart Banks are both missing because of suspension.

Marske captain Adam Wheatley returns to the squad after suspension, while striker Jamie Owens and midfielder John Seaton also both return.

Shildon manager Gary Forrest is hoping to include at least one new signing in their squad at home to West Allotment, while defender Steve Capper and midfielder Lewis Wing will both have fitness tests. Shildon are in fourth place.

Third bottom Allotment have re-appointed their former manager Paul Stoneman, who has left Bedlington after a brief spell there.

Dunston UTS, who are in sixth bottom place after losing to a last minute goal at joint leaders North Shields in midweek, are at Morpeth and have a long list of injuries to contend with. Morpeth, who are ninth, will have a full squad.

North Shields play Sunderland RCA for the second time in a week, the sides having drawn 0-0 last Saturday. Shields have strikers Dan Wilson, Lee Mason and Jack Devlin all injured, so Ryan McGorrigan will probably start. Shields have appointed Andy Wright to their management team, while Andy Bowman has left the club.

The RCA include new signings Johnny Butler and Ross Preston, both signed from Washington, but they are missing keeper Neal Bussey who has a broken ankle, while Steven Stewart and Reece Noble are both suspended. Kieran Graham, Michael Charlton and James Cassidy are all out injured, while Colin Larkin, Steve Callen, Craig Hodgson and Clayton Davies are all injured.

Seaham Red Star, who are in sixth place, are at Washington and will give midfielder Luke Proctor a fitness test. Washington include three new signings – forward Jordan Jewson from Whitby, and midfielders Jonny Wightman from Sunderland RCA and Glen Lane from Consett.

In the second division, Brandon, who have won their last two matches are hoping to continue their revival at home to Willington. Kyle Wren, Ben Clarey and Shane Todd are all added to the squad.

Willington parted company with manager Gary Innes last week, and their team will be chosen by Innes’ assistant manager Andy Telfer.

Crook Town face third placed Whickham at the Millfield.

Second bottom Darlington RA can do their survival chances a power of good if they beat Hebburn, who are four places above them. Jordan Hanratty has given them a boost by returning to the club, while Chris Smith, Glen Hargrave and Scott Wallace all return to the Hebburn squad after missing the midweek game.

Thornaby face Blyth Town at Teesdale Park, and they are hoping to add some new signings to their squad after being hammered 8-0 by Billingham Synthonia last week.

Durham go to Tow Law, and they will be missing defenders Kieran Harnett, Adam Crathorne and Andy Brown, while there will be fitness tests for Kieran McWaters and Sam Norris.

In the other games, fourth bottom Crook are at home to Whickham.
