Bishop Auckland moved up four places in the table with 2-1 home win over Seaham Red Star tonight.

Seaham were forced to make three substitutions because of injuries in the first half, and Bishops almost took advantage. Kyle Davis hit the bar from the edge of the box, while Seaham keeper Shaun Newbrook pulled off good saves from Davis and Ian Ward.

Seaham only had the one chance from Mark McCabe that Bishops keeper Mark Bell pushed over the bar.

Bishops took the lead after 57 minutes, when former Seaham player David Palmer burst into the box, rounded Newbrook and squeezed the ball in from a tight angle.

Palmer made it 2-0 on 57 minutes when he cleverly chipped the ball over Newbrook from the edge of the box.

Seaham pulled a goal back with a right foot shot by Harrison Scott, but Bishops held on.

Darlington RA went down 5-3 at Heaton Stannington.

The home side took the lead when Lee Johnson scored with a header, then Jon Wright added the second from the penalty spot. Johnson finished off a good move for the third eight minutes before half time. Johnson completed his hat trick early in the second half.

But the RA launched a fightback, and pulled three goals back through Jack Hanlon, Kerry Hedley and a Nathan Wilson penalty, before Adrian Watson made the game safe for Heaton in the last minute.

Billingham Town came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Crook.

The home side started off really well, scoring twice early on through Peter Brown and Phil Caley, but Town hit back through Danny Maloney, Craig Hutchinson and Drew Lambert.

Esh Winning won 1-0 at Willington, only their second win of the season. Luke Thompson scored the goal after 18 minutes.
