Spennymoor Town have been handed a tough first qualifying round tie in the FA Cup if they win their preliminary round tie at Harrogate RA this weekend.
Moors have been drawn at home to Blyth, who beat Hartlepool on their way to the third round proper last season, when they lost to Birmingham City at Croft Park.
The draw was made a week early because of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The full draw for the first qualifying round as it affects the north east clubs is: Bishop Auckland or Jarrow Roofing v Congleton or Handsworth Parramore, West Auckland or Washington v Runcorn Linnets or Pontefract Collieries, Silsden or Padiham v Marske or Lancaster, Harrogate RA or Spennymoor v Blyth, Consett or Scarborough v Tadcaster Albion or Colne, Matlock Town v Whitley Bay or Heaton Stannington, North Shields or Kendal v Holker Old Boys or Dunston UTS, Salford City v Whitby, Darlington v Hyde United, Ashton United v Guisborough or Newcastle Benfield, Ashington or Thackley v Abbey Hey or Warrington, Brighouse or Atherton Collieries v Newton Aycliffe or Morpeth.
Games to be played on September 12th.
