Dunston bounced back from their Vase exit with a 5-0 home win over Celtic Nation tonight.
Dunston took the lead on 16 minutes when Dan Smith squared the ball for Andy Bulford, who drove home from the edge of the box, then eight minutes later Lee McAndrew dribbled through the Nation defence and scored the second. Johnny Allen put through his own goal for the third, then Bulford dribbled through on the end of a Johnny Wightman through ball for the fourth. Dan Wilson got the fifth late in the game.
Sunderland RCA climbed out of the bottom two with a single goal win at Newton Aycliffe.
There weren’t many chances in the first half with Colin Larkin going close for RCA, and Martin Young for Aycliffe, but Kieran Megran finished off a good move to score the winner on 56 minutes.
