Shildon manager Gary Forrest wants the Northern League to turn out in force when they push for a place in the FA Cup first round proper tonight.

The Railwaymen try again to beat Norton United with whom they drew 1-1 in Stoke on Trent on Saturday in their fourth qualifying round replay, and Forrest believes that the level of support inside Dean Street tonight will be crucial.

“We’re expecting another difficult game,” he said. “Both clubs have the same incentive of a home tie against Gateshead in the first round, so we need as much support as possible. This must be the biggest FA Cup tie involving a Northern League club for several years, so it would be great if supporters from other clubs turned out.”

Centre half Darren Craddock returns to the squad after serving a one match ban, but striker Billy Greulich-Smith is doubtful. Midfielder Danny Moore is unavailable.

When Shildon battled through to the first round proper in 2003, they had a four figure crowd for their last qualifying round game against Stocksbridge, which they won emphatically 6-0.
