Bishop Auckland bounced back from the weekend thumping by defeating Morpeth 3-0 at Heritage Park last night.

Bishops missed a couple of good chances before they took the lead on 30 minutes when Johnny Butler controlled a quickly taken corner and fired into the top corner.

Bishops went 2-0 up on 49 minutes when Ben Riding headed in a free kick from the right, and they went further ahead on 76 minutes when Butler headed in Glen Lane’s left wing corner.

Dunston UTS had a good 3-1 away win at Consett.

Dunston took the lead when Gary Ormston was left unmarked to score from a corner. Chris Moore hit the post for Consett , before the Steelmen levelled with a header by Michael Mackay.

But Dunston recovered, and Jonny Wightman and Andy Bulford scored in the second half.

Bottom club Crook Town went down 4-2 at Jarrow Roofing Roofing went in front after just 2 minutes, when John Campbell nodded the ball down for Karl McMann to fire home, and they went 2-0 up on 6 minutes when Campbell scored from the edge of the area.

Crook pulled one back at the start of the second half through Stuart Rose , but their hopes were shortlived when Lewis Teasdale cut in from the wing and curled the ball beyond the Crook keeper for the third. Teasdale then controlled a long ball from Alex White and scored the fourth. Kallum Holbrook scored a late consolation.

Marske United came from a goal down to win 3-2 at Ashington Marske fell behind when Tony Stephenson scored from the spot after a foul by keeper Robbie Dean, but his goal was cancelled out by a Jamie Owens 30 yard strike, his 10th league goal of the season, just on half time. Craig Gott put Marske into the lead from the spot on 52 minutes, but Andrew Johnson equalised immediately.

However, Owens sent San Garvie racing clear, and he coolly rounded the keeper for the winner with just a few minutes left.
