Bishop Auckland still have a 100 per cent record in the ENL after winning 3-0 at Newton Aycliffe to record their fourth win of the season.

Bishops took the lead when Stuart Thompson cut in from the right and fired into the top corner, and soon after the break Kieran Megran converted a penalty for the second after Johnny Butler was brought down by Aycliffe keeper William Jones. Megran added a third with 15 minutes remaining when he headed in a left wing cross Shildon had to work hard to beat Crook Town 3-2 at Dean Street.

Shildon started well enough. Mark Hudson headed them into the lead, then Micky Rae ran through and slotted in the second by the 15th minute.

However, Crook pulled a goal back with a Kallum Holbrook penalty, and Jason Brazauskas raced through and beat Lewis Graham.

Paul Connor got the winner late in the game when Darren Craddock headed the ball across goal for him to tap in.

North Shields are now top of the table with a 3-1 home win over Newcastle Benfield.

Shields took the lead on 11 minutes when Gareth Bainbridge scored from a one-on-one, then new signing Denver Morris fired a low shot into the bottom corner for the second.

Benfield pulled a goal back through Paul Brayson, but Dean Walker scored the third from close range.

Jarrow Roofing easily Billingham Synthonia 5-1 after being a goal down at half time with Jon Wright scoring four times in the last 16 minutes.

Synners took the lead just before the break through Stewart Bath when he pounced on a rebound from Jack Bradbury’s shot, but only a few minutes after the restart, Dan Kirkup headed the equaliser from a corner.

Wright pounced on a weak headed back pass to give Roofing the lead, then he latched on to a pass from Paul Gardiner to make it 3-1.

New signing Lewis Teasdale set him up for his hat trick, and in stoppage time he dispossessed a defender and fired home.

Durham City drew 0-0 with Consett at New Ferens Park. The closest either side came to scoring was a long range shot by Dan Madden that hit the bar.

Bedlington moved up the table with a 3-1 away win at Ashington. Lee Scott scored twice for Bedlington, with Jordan Nellis scoring their third. Andrew Johnson equalized for Ashington at one point.

Bottom club Sunderland RCA are still without a point after they were beaten 3-0 at Morpeth, for whom Michael Chilton (2) and Sean Taylor scored inside the first 25 minutes.

Celtic Nation and Penrith drew 1-1. Dean Armstrong put CN into the lead, with Ryan hall equalising.

In the second division, Team Northumbria are three points clear at the top after easily beating Ryton and Crawcrook 6-0. Sam Norris scored a hat trick, with Ben Dibb-Fuller (2) and David Luke scoring the other goals.

Darlington RA came from behind to beat Northallerton in their local derby. Northallerton led at half time with a goal by Aaron Ramsbottom, but Mark Sims scored twice in five minutes in the second half.

Hebburn took the lead with a 19th minute header by Channon North, then just before half time Callum Smith added the second with a low shot.

Shields levelled with a header by Stephen Ramsey on 74 minutes, and in the last minute Ramsey scored from the rebound after James Talbot hit the post.

Heaton Stannington beat Alnwick 3-1 after being a goal down at one stage, Keith Douglas gave Alnwick the lead, but Heaton won with goals by Robert Pearson, Damien Stevens and Andrew Robertson.

Seaham Red Star beat Ryhope CW 3-1. Josh Home-Jackson, Liam McBryde and Lee Chapman scored for Seaham, with Jack Pounder replying.

Willington drew their local derby 1-1 with Tow Law. Mark Bell put them into the lead after28 minutes, but Dean Thexton equalised.

Esh Winning picked up their fourth point in two days when they drew 0-0 with Brandon.
