Spennymoor hit the 100 point mark for the season when they beat Sunderland RCA 3-0 at the Brewery Field tonight.

They took the lead after 25 minutes when Lewis Dodds superbly controlled a through ball and drilled it past Jonathan Carmichael in the RCA goal, and a minute later it was 2-0 when Gavin Cogdon scored with a deflected shot from the edge of the area. The RCA then had former Moors player Gavin Barton dismissed for elbowing one of the Moors players, and seven minutes from the end Stephen Capper scored the third after being set up by Liam Henderson.

West Auckland playing in the second of four games this week, lost 4-1 at Penrith, for whom Steven Rigg scored all four goals.

West pulled a goal back when Mattie Moffat crossed for Dennis Knight to score, but Rigg pounced on a mistake by Olly Simpson to score his hat trick. He got another in the last minute from the penalty spot.

Former Whitley Bay manager Ian Chandler returned to Hillheads with his new club Durham City, but they went down 4-1.

Durham took the lead through Denver Morris, but Whitley levelled through Craig Hubbard. Paul Chow, who scored in every Vase final when Chandler was in charge, then put Whitley into the lead with his 250th goal for the club before half time.

Chow then got another at the start of the second half, with Chris Reid scoring the fourth.

Bishops took the lead after 65 minutes when Sean Tarling was fouled in the area, and Kieran Megran scored from the spot, and a minute later Dunston keeper Andrew Clark fumbled and Danny Brunskill scored from the rebound. Johnny Butler missed a good chance when he found the side netting after rounding Clark.
