Bishop Auckland let a two goal lead slip as they crashed out of the FA cup by 5-2 at home to Consett.

Bishops took the lead after 8 minutes with a 25 yard free kick by Michael Hoganson into the bottom corner, then a few minutes later Ian Ward flicked on a corner for Alex Francis to score the second.

Consett pulled a goal back on 33 minutes when a shot by Michael Mackay was parried by Bishops keeper Carl Robinson, and Michael Sweet scored from the rebound. Two minutes later Consett were level when Mackay finished off a good move, and the visitors went ahead when Mackay volleyed home from a Jordan Lavery pass. Just before the hour, Shaun Ryder fired Consett 4-2 into the lead with a left foot shot from 20 yards, then Sweet was left completely unmarked by the Bishops defence to score the fifth on 75 minutes.

In the second division, Esh Winning lost 4-2 at home to Blyth.

Esh took the lead when Nick Marley scored from a Callum Boakes free kick, but Blyth hit back with goals by Ryan McGorrigan before half time, then he and David Robinson (2) added further goals in the second half. Dagan Taylor pulled a late goal back.

Crook drew 1-1 with Darlington RA, who took the lead after 53 minutes through Mark Sims, but that goal was cancelled out three minutes later by Matthew Stephenson.
