West Auckland manager Steve Skinner says that he faces some tough decisions on his starting line up ahead of their home game with Chester-le-Street on Saturday.

West hit rock bottom when they lost at home to Guisborough last weekend, leaving them eight points above the relegation zone and Skinner critical of his team’s display.

“It’s a make or break game for both sides, so I’ve got some tough decisions to make up on my starting line up following last week’s game,” he said.

Andrew Brown is missing because of suspension, but otherwise West are at full strength. Chester, who have picked up fifteen of their twenty points away from home this season, will only be missing Aaron Reynolds.

Shildon are at home to league leaders North Shields, who pulled off a great win in midweek at Marske in the league cup with ten men, and they will be missing midfielder Anthony Bell, who has joined Whitby in the EvoStik League.

Shields, who have won their last 26 matches, have injury doubts over defender Brad Brooking and striker Gareth Bainbridge, but defender Adam Forster, midfielder James Luccock and forward Tom Kerridge all return.

South Shields, who are second thanks to a winning run stretching all the way back to the start of November, are at Ryhope CW, and welcome back defender Anthony Callaghan, but midfielder Leepaul Scroggins is out because of injury. Ryhope are without assistant manager Leon Ryan, Matty Weirs, and Nathan O’Neill, while Danni Lay, Richie Paxton and Steven Francis will all have fitness tests.

Morpeth, who are hoping that the two top will slip up somehow, are at fourth bottom Washington, having switched the fixture because of pitch problems at Morpeth. Manager Nick Gray will have a full squad to choose from.

Bishop Auckland, who have only four games left, are at home to Jarrow Roofing, and manager Steve Riley will be close to full strength, with the exception of striker Ian Ward and defender Scott Martindale, Roofing are unbeaten in their last seven matches, and they are missing Shaun Vipond, Ross Toward and Paul Gardner.

Newton Aycliffe, who are ninth, are at Ashington, and they will be missing first choice keeper Phil Pentony because of work, but otherwise they are at full strength. Ashington are also without any injury problems.

Guisborough , who are third bottom and seven points from safety, have a big home game against Penrith. Keeper Jordan Nixon will definitely miss the game because of injury, while Louis Goldsack, Anthony Snook and Lee Bythway will all have fitness tests.

Sunderland RCA are at Seaham Red Star, and they are hit by the absence of Reece Noble, Craig Hodgson and Brad Wilson for the rest of the season because of injury, while Michael Charlton and Liam McBryde will both have fitness tests. Mark Robinson and Nathan Cummings will both return.

Dunston UTS are at home to Whitley Bay, and they will give fitness tests to Chris Youldon and Luke Gilhespy. Whitley are still missing injured striker Adam Shanks, but otherwise they’re at full strength.

In the second division, Northallerton take on leaders Team Northumbria at Ainderby Road, and they will be missing keeper Michael Thackeray because of suspension, while Liam Jarvie and Mark Sims both return to the squad.

Third placed Billingham Synthonia go to Esh Winning, and they are boosted by the return of striker Macauley Langstaff, but Austin Johnson and Conor Winter are both suspended.

Esh, who have won four times at home this season, are without Kai Hewitson and Dan Robinson, but Chris Mordue and Joe Wilkinson will both have fitness tests. Kieran Day returns after suspension.

Second placed Stockton Town are at home to Bedlington, who were the last team to beat them in the league way back in November, and they will be at full strength except for Adam Nicholson.

Billingham Town, who are in fourth, nine points behind the top three need to beat Durham City at Bedford Terrace to keep their slim hopes alive after four defeats in six matches. Alex Leeds and Matty Crossen will both have fitness test. Durham will be missing Ross Simpson, Elliott Saliki, James Wood and Jeremy Allen, but Kieran harnett returns to the squad.

Heaton Stannington are making a late burst for the top three, and they’re at Crook Town, who are unbeaten in their last four matches but are missing four players because of injury.

Darlington RA are at home to Alnwick, and they will be at full strength after a good 5-4 win last week at Durham City that lifted them to fourth from bottom.

Thornaby have slipped into the bottom three in recent weeks, are at Tow Law, and manager Paul Burton expects to choose from a full squad.

Brandon are at home to Hebburn, who are without their former Darlington midfielder Adam Rundle and striker Glen Hargrave, while Chris Feasey will have a fitness test. Brandon will be without Reece Marshall because of suspension.

In the other games, Easington are at home to Ryton and Crawcrook, and Willington face Blyth Town.
