West Auckland’s busy league schedule continued when they won 2-0 at Bedlington last night.

They took the lead on 40 minutes when a good run by Ashley Coffey set up Jonathan Gibson, who crossed for Liam Henderson to score from a few yards.

They made sure of the points in the last minute when Warren Byrne turned on the edge of the box and found the bottom corner.

League cup finalists Marske United won 2-1 at Morpeth.

Marske took the lead when John Alexander scored from a left wing cross five minutes before half time, but Morpeth levelled with a free kick by Ryan Hutchinson.

However, Marske got the winner three minutes from the end when Alexander dribbled past two defenders and fired past the Morpeth keeper.

Guisborough won 2-1 at Whitley Bay. Paul Roddam put them in the lead after 24 minutes, but Paul Chow levelled for Whitley straight after half time. However, Mikey Roberts got the winner on 55 minutes.

In the second division, Tow Law won 3-0 at Brandon.

Simon Ord fired Lawyers into the lead with a 20 yarder after 24 minutes, then Kai Hewitson scored the second from the same distance. Hewitson got the third on the hour when he was left unmarked a few yards out.
