MIKE WILLIAMSON and Papiss Cisse return to Newcastle United's starting line-up for this afternoon's relegation decider against West Ham United.

The Magpies head into their final game of the season knowing that if Hull beat Manchester United at the KC Stadium, they will have to beat the Hammers to avoid dropping into the Championship.

With the stakes at their highest, John Carver has made three changes to the side that suffered a 2-1 defeat at QPR last weekend.

The most noteworthy comes at centre-half, with Carver recalling Williamson just a fortnight after accusing him of getting sent off on purpose in the 3-0 defeat at Leicester.

Williamson will partner Fabricio Coloccini at centre-half, with Paul Dummett moving across to left-back and Jonas Gutierrez pushing forward into the midfield.

Vurnon Anita is preferred to Remy Cabella, with Carver clearly keen to reinforce his midfield unit, with the final change seeing Cisse get the nod ahead of Ayoze Perez in attack.

Cisse will be making his first start since receiving a seven-match ban for spitting at Manchester United defender Jonny Evans at the start of March, with Newcastle expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation as they attempt to secure their Premier League survival.
