BATTLE: Chris Hughton, the former Newcastle boss, will lead his Brighton team into battle against his former club on February 28
NEWCASTLE UNITED will now head to Brighton for the battle of the top two at the end of February.
The Magpies were originally scheduled to travel to the Amex Stadium on Saturday, January 28 but progress in the FA Cup means the fixture has had to change.
Newcastle will travel to Oxford in the fourth round of the FA Cup on that date, so Rafael Benitez’s side will now go to Brighton a month later on Tuesday, February 28.
It has also been confirmed that Sky Sports will show the match with Brighton live, with both teams currently occupying the two automatic promotion spots at this stage of the season and challenging for the Championship title.
