FOUR of Newcastle’s early Premier League fixtures have been moved for television and the season opener with Southampton now has a different date.
The Saints' visit to Tyneside will take place on Sunday, August 9 because of the South Coast club's Europa League involvement.
Newcastle’s trip to Manchester United has been brought forward to 12.45pm on Saturday, August 22 for BT Sport coverage and it will be the same start time and channel for the home date with Arsenal on August 29.
Sky Sports has selected Newcastle's trip to West Ham for the Monday night football slot on September 14 at 8pm and Sky will also screen Chelsea’s visit to St James’ Park on Saturday, September 26 at 5.30pm.
