TRANSFER LATEST: Best signs permanent deal with Newcastle

NEWCASTLE have completed the deadline-day capture of striker Leon Best from Coventry City for an undisclosed fee that is understood to be around £500,000.
The Republic of Ireland international has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Magpies, and will be available for Friday's home game with Cardiff.
Best has scored nine goals in 15 Championship appearances for Coventry this season, and was part of the Sky Blues side that lost to Newcastle in December.
Best's arrival will complete the Magpies' January transfer business.
