NEWCASTLE UNITED have announced a pre-season game at Portuguese side Braga.

The Magpies will take on Braga at the Estadio Municipal de Braga on Wednesday, August 1 (7.30pm).

The game will form part of a two-game Portuguese tour, with Newcastle having already announced a match with Porto at the Estadio do Dragao on Saturday, July 28.

Rafael Benitez's squad will stay in Portugal between the two matches before returning home to England to play German side Augsburg in their final pre-season game at St. James' Park on Sunday, August 5.

Braga finished fourth in last season's Primeira Liga, and made it to the last 32 of the Europa League, where they lost to eventual finalists Marseille.

Newcastle have played Braga in pre-season before, with Fabricio Coloccini scoring in a 1-1 draw ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
