KENEDY will make his Newcastle United debut in this evening's Premier League home game with Burnley.
The Brazilian signed a season-long loan from Chelsea at the end of last week, and has been pitched straight into the starting side this evening.
It remains to be seen, however, whether he lines up as a wing-back in a back five or as an orthodox left midfielder.
Rafael Benitez has made eight changes from the team that crashed out of the FA Cup at Chelsea last weekend, with Karl Darlow, Ciaran Clark and Jamaal Lascelles the only survivors from the team that started at Stamford Bridge.
Mikel Merino and Mo Diame line up in midfield, with Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden left out of the starting XI.
Joselu is preferred to Dwight Gayle in attack, with Ayoze Perez expected to play in the hole behind the Spanish striker.
