NEWCASTLE defender Paul Dummett has missed out on a place in the Wales squad at Euro 2016 after an injury-hit season.

The left-back, who can also play in central defence did not make the cut in manager Chris Coleman's 23-man squad.

A hamstring problem kept the 24-year-old sidelined for Wales' qualifying campaign where they finished second in Group B.

Despite being born in Newcastle, Dummett qualifies for Wales through his grandfather.
