NEWCASTLE have missed out on twin left-back targets Guilherme Siqueira and Lucas Orban after the pair both agreed to moves in Spain.
The Magpies remain keen to sign a left-back to provide cover for the injured Paul Dummett and Massadio Haidara, and thought they had sealed a deal for Siqueira earlier this weekend.
However, the Atletico Madrid defender failed to turn up on Tyneside for a planned medical, and instead entered into fresh talks with Valencia.
His move to Valencia's Mestalla Stadium was confirmed this evening, with the La Liga club confirming his signing on an 18-month deal.
Newcastle had also expressed an interest in Valencia’s Lucas Orban, but they will not be signing him either as he has joined Spanish side Levante for the remainder of the campaign.
