NEWCASTLE UNITED have completed the £12m signing of Andros Townsend from Tottenham.
Townsend has signed a five-and-a-half year deal with the Magpies and will wear the number 25 shirt on Tyneside.
The 24-year-old completed a medical on Tyneside this morning after agreeing personal terms with Newcastle officials last night.
He made 93 senior appearances for Spurs, and will hope to add to his ten full England caps ahead of this summer's European Championships in France.
"I'm delighted to be here," said Townsend, on Newcastle's official website. "Newcastle United is a fantastic club with great fans, a great stadium and great tradition.
"As soon as I heard Newcastle were interested in me, there was only one place I wanted to go so I can't wait to get started."
