JAMAL BLACKMAN has been handed his Middlesbrough debut in tonight's Capital One Cup third round tie at Anfield.
The goalkeeper, on loan from Chelsea, has been included from the start against a strong Liverpool side ahead of Dimi Konstantopoulos, who has started the last three Championship games.
Former Liverpool youngster Daniel Ayala slots back in at the heart of the defence after suspension instead of Ben Gibson, whil Lee Tomlin is recalled in the No 10 role behind Kike.
Liverpool, despite other priorities such as the Champions League and Premier League, also name a strong eleven, with Rickie Lambert leading the line. He will be supported by attacking trio Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic.
LIVERPOOL (4-4-2): Mignolet; Manquillo, Toure, Sakho, Enrique; Lucas, Rossiter; Lallana, Sterling, Markovic; Lambert. Subs: Jones (gk), Moreno, Borini, Suso, Skrtel, Balotelli, Williams.
MIDDLESBROUGH (4-4-2): Blackman; Fredericks, Ayala, Omeruo, Friend; Reach, Clayton, Leadbitter, Adomah; Tomlin; Kike. Subs: Konstantopoulos (gk), Gibson, Husband, Wildschut, Nsue, Bamford, Vossen.
