MIDDLESBROUGH have confirmed the signing of full-back James Husband from Doncaster Rovers - with Curtis Main heading in the opposite direction to South Yorkshire.
Boro are also understood to have paid around £500,000 as part of the deal, with Husband having signed a four-year deal on Teesside.
A left-back who can also play on the right-hand side of a back four, Leeds-born Husband joined Doncaster in 2010 and made 73 senior appearances for the club.
"We are delighted to welcome James to the club," said Boro head coach Aitor Karanka. "He is a young player we believe has a very good future in the game.
"He’s a good footballer and has all the things we look for in a young player. We wish him every success here at Boro."
Main, who joined Boro after leaving Darlington as a free agent, heads to Doncaster having scored six goals in his 52 senior appearances for the Teessiders.
Boro are in friendly action this evening when they take on neighbours Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.
