MIDDLESBROUGH fans will line up against the likes of George Boateng, Gaizka Mendieta and Ugo Ehiogu at the Riverside Stadium next week in a charity football match.
The trio, who played under Steve McClaren in Boro's UEFA Cup campaign six years ago, have all agreed to play in the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation Charity Match.
Places were sold for the match, which will take place under floodlights on Friday, May 11, to Middlesbrough fans through the website of event organisers Middlesbrough Supporters South.
Also confirmed for this year's match are Neil Maddison, Colin Cooper, Craig Hignett and Bernie Slaven.
The match will also serve as a tribute to Boro fans Grant Harrison, who died while travelling in Thailand in January, and mascot Tom Gardiner, who led the teams out last year, who lost his battle with a brain tumour in December.
BBC Breakfast presenter and Middlesbrough-born Steph McGovern will be lending her support by leading an auction after the game, while Sky Sports reporter Claire Bloomfield will be pitchside conducting interviews with the players.
The game kicks off at 7.30pm, donations are welcome on the door, for more information visit www.mss-online.org and to make a donation visit www.justgiving.com/sbrfcharitymatch2012
