MIDDLESBROUGH'S first game of the season against Sheffield United has been moved forward to Friday, August 7 (kick-off 8pm).
The switch, for the purposes of Sky Sports, means that Boro's first match in the Championship at the Riverside Stadium will actually open the 2009-10 season.
