MIDDLESBROUGH have completed the loan signing of midfielder Jack Harrison.

Harrison is Tony Pulis' first signing since taking over as Boro boss, and has moved to the Riverside for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old joins Boro from Manchester City, after signing for the Premier League leaders from New York City earlier this morning.

An England Under-21 international who made his debut for Aidy Boothroyd's side in a Riverside win over Scotland in October, Harrison was viewed as one of the most exciting talents in the MLS.

Having been born in Stoke, he was schooled in the academies at both Liverpool and Manchester United before heading to the United States as a 14-year-old.

He made his professional debut with New York in 2016, and was nominated for the Rookie of the Year award and the Goal of the Year Award in his first season in the MLS.

An attack-minded midfielder, Harrison scored 14 goals in 59 appearances for New York City.

He will watch Middlesbrough's Championship game against Sheffield Wednesday from the Riverside stands this evening, and is available to make his Boro debut in Saturday's game at Norwich City.
