SIX of Middlesbrough’s summer signings will start against Wolves in the first Championship fixture under Garry Monk.

That means Ashley Fletcher has been preferred to Patrick Bamford, who started the last friendly against Augsburg, in an attacking line-up.

Fletcher, a £6.5m signing from West Ham, looks set to start on the right of an adventurous three-man forward line that also includes £15m record buy Britt Assombalonga and £9m striker Martin Braithwaite.

There is no Adama Traore in the match-day squad, nor is there Stewart Downing. Both players continue to be linked with moves away from the club.

Wolves have sold out Molineux after an exciting summer of change under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo. He fields seven new recruits including £16m man Ruben Neves.
