MIDDLESBROUGH have received international clearance for striker Cristhian Stuani.
Uruguay international Stuani, 28, agreed terms with Boro last month after leaving Espanyol and has been training with the squad, but unable to play a friendly, while waiting for paperwork to be completed.
He has cost £2.8m and netted 16 goals in 48 appearances last season. Stuani will wear the No 18 shirt and is likely to start at Preston on Sunday.
His contract runs until 2019.
