Roy Keane has started his Sunderland clear-out cull by telling four experienced players they will not be offered new deals.
Andy Cole, Ian Harte, Stephen Wright and Stan Varga, all out of contract this summer, have been told their stays on Wearside will not be extended.
And the Sunderland boss has warned that they are just the start, with more players to be released once the Premier League season is over.
Cole and Varga have spent time on loan at Burnley. Wright has been on loan at Stoke, while Harte has not featured much since his arrival this season.
