HARTLEPOOL United cruised to a comfortable 7-0 victory over Northern League outfit Billingham Town at Bedford Terrace.
Ronnie Moore - who gave trialists Fergus Bell, Leon Dawson and Johnny Giles a run out - handed plenty of first appearances to new signings.
Trevor Carson, Harry Worley, Carl Magnay and Billy Paynter started the first half.
After the restart latest new boy Peter Denton started in goal alongside other new recruits Kudus Oyenuga, Jake Carroll, Rakish Bingham and Rhys Oates.
And Giles teed up Worley for the first with a fine header before Paynter converted a penalty after he was fouled just after the half-hour.
The third arrived after the break when Bingham was on hand to stab in the rebound after Oates' shot was saved.
Left-back Jake Carroll added the fourth by finishing off a lovely move which also involved Nicky Featherstone and Lewis Hawkins.
There were also two goals for Bradley Walker after he rounded the keeper for the first and he turned provider to tee up Bingham for the seventh.
Hartlepool United: Carson, Duckworth, Worley, Parnaby, Magnay, Bell, Nelson-Addy, Dawson, Giles, Fenwick, Paynter. (second half): Denton, Richards, Bates, Nearney, Oyenuga, Featherstone, Carroll, Hawkins, Walker, Bingham, Oates.
