Hartlepool United chairman Gary Coxall is to offer new deals to manager Ronnie Moore and assistant Sam Collins.

Moore is out of contract in December, which will be a year after taking over and keeping Pools in the Football League.

And his reward for his efforts will be a new deal.

Pools have been taken over by JPNG and while new chairman Gary Coxall spoke at this afternoon’s press conference, he confirmed keeping his  management duo in place is a priority.

“We are looking at a  new contract, longer term, for Ronnie and Sam,’’  said Coxall.

“There is no beating around the bush trying, to be political. We have had discussions, which were positive and hopefully there will be an announcement soon.

“We need to secure those two.”

Coxall, 34, who confirmed previous owners IOR Ltd left the club debt-free - writing off a £14m debt to the Aberdeen-based oil company - when the takeover deal was completed last Friday, has been in talks with the town’s council about the proposed sale of  Victoria Park.

The club’s badge will have “The Town’s Club” returned to the crest after it was replaced in recent years.
