Another away loss for Pools, this time at Brighton
HARTLEPOOL United slumped to their 15th loss on the road in League One this season, going down 2-1 at Brighton.
The game was typical of Pools season on the road - they played some good football, but let themselves down with some slack defending to gift the home side three, somewhat undeserved, points.
Danny Wilson, who cut an angry and frustrated figure, saw his side go close to taking the lead in the first-half, when Gary Liddle's goalbound header was blocked and James Brown fired the rebound over from 14 yards.
But, as the half came to a close, Dean Cox crossed for Glenn Murray, unmarked between the Pools defence, to plant a free header into the net.
The visitors levelled when Joel Porter turned in from close range after David Foley's shot was pushed out by keeper Michel Kuipers.
A minute later, Porter almost put Pools in front when a Ritchie Humphreys shot was turned aside by the keeper, who then saved Porter's follow up.
Pools would have been satisfied with a point, but they managed to throw the game away.
A hopeful punt into the area was headed across goal by the unmarked Murray and Cox tapped in from close range.

Our away record this season is awful and the manager should take responsibility for it with his coaching team. why oh why is mcCunnie the scapegoat every time we lose? hes the best right back at tyhe club and is ALWAYS the one to miss out. if he's not a right back Mr Wilson then why not play him in midfield instead of Bolland who only ever passes sideways.
