HARTLEPOOL UNITED supporters have until Friday to take advantage of season ticket discounts.

Sales for next season have blasted beyond the 2,000 mark and sales are already up an incredible 44 per cent on the same time last year, with the pace picking up on the back of some good summer business on the transfer front from boss Craig Hignett.

Prolific striker – 37 goals last season - Padraig Amond signed last week from Grimsby Town, joining his former Mariners team-mate Toto Nsiala and free-scoring Dover Athletic midfielder Nicky Deverdics.

Hignett is still on the lookout for more players to strengthen his squad as the players are back for pre-season today.

“It’s massive for us to know the fans are right behind the club,” he admitted. “You know what it’s like when Victoria Park is packed – the atmosphere is unbelievable and it can really spur the players on so we want as many people coming to games as possible.

“We want everyone to be together and pushing in the same direction and, if we do that, then hopefully we can have a really enjoyable season.

“I can’t wait to get back in to training now because we have some exciting players to work with and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Early bird prices mean that adults can buy a Season Ticket for £250 (£10.87 per game), Students and Seniors are only £150 (£6.52 per game), Under 19s are a mere £120 (£5.22 per game) and Under 16s can come along for a cracking £75 (£3.26 per game).

Tickets can be bought on line at the club’s new ticket portal at hartlepoolunited.co.uk or from thje club’s ticket office at Victoria Park.
