GOALSCORING midfielder Nicky Deverdics has signed for Hartlepool United.
A former Newcastle United trainee, Deverdics has moved from Dover Athletic on a free transfer, after netting 16 goals and also contributing with 18 assists, in the National League last season.
He skippered the club to the play-offs.
Deverdics, 28, started at St James' Park as a trainee and has had spells with Gretna - signed by Mick Wadsworth - as well as Barnet and Gateshead among others.
He has spent the last two seasons with Dover and is out of contract this summer.
