AHEAD of today’s transfer deadline, Ronnie Moore is confident of adding another new signing to the Hartlepool United squad.

Pools take on Oxford United at Victoria Park on Saturday, and while Moore already has a number of loan signings in his squad, there’s every chance one more will be available.

"I'm hoping to try to do a bit of business before the deadline today,’’ he revealed at this morning’s press conference.

"It will be a young kid because we've tried everywhere for experience.

"With a bit of luck, it will another player to add to the squad, but I'm just waiting on a phone call for that one.

"Whether he plays when we get him in will be something we have to look at.’’

Moore had right-back Michael Duckworth available for Tuesday’s postponed game at Accrington and he will start on Saturday.

Pools fielded three trialists in Wednesday’s reserve game at Burnley, which was a 0-0 draw, but the Pools boss won’t be taking a second look at any of them.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ebby Nelson-Addy has moved to Worcester City on loan for a month.
