HARTLEPOOL UNITED'S trip to Salford City in the FA Cup second round will be broadcast on live television next month.
Pools were drawn out of the hat to face the Evo-Stik Premier Division club owned by the 'Class of '92', and the game has been arranged for Friday, December 4, with a 7.55pm kick-off to be shown on BBC Two.
It is Salford's second FA Cup match to be screened live after they beat Notts County in front of the cameras on Friday.
The fixture will bring back memories for Pools fans after Blyth Spartans dumped the League Two side out of the cup a year ago on a Friday night that brought an end to Paul Murray's brief stint in charge at Victoria Park.
The other televised games are the all-League One game between Rochdale and Bury on the Saturday on BT Sport, who will round off the weekend of cup action by showing Grimsby Town v Shrewsbury Town.
The FA live broadcast fee is £72,000 per club, while the winning clubs will also receive £27,000 from The FA prize fund.
