HARTLEPOOL United have been given a home draw against non-league opposition in the first round of the FA Cup for the second year running.
After a win over East Thurrock United 12 months ago, Pools will now meet the winners of tonight’s replay between Havant and Waterlooville and Cheltenham Town, who drew 3-3 on Saturday.
Havant include Marvin Morgan in their ranks, who played on loan from Plymouth for Pools last season, but soon fell out of favour under Ronnie Moore.
Cheltenham were relegated from League Two last season as Pools survived. Goalkeeper Trevor Carson moved from Whaddon Road to Victoria Park in the summer.
Salford City, who are owned by the Manchester United Class of 92, will meet Notts County in a game likely to be televised. The non-league club beat Southport 1-0 on Saturday thanks to a spectacular 45-yard strike from former Pools attacker James Poole.
