Entertainment: 1/5
YEOVIL TOWN (4-4-2): Krysiak 6; Roberts 7, Arthurworry 6, Sokliok 5, Smith 5; Cornick 5, Dolan 5, Sheehan 6, Howells 7 (Beck 85); Bird 6, Bassett 4 (Allen 71). Subs (not used): Weale (gk), Gibbons, Fogden, Melanson.
HARTLEPOOL UNITED (4-3-3):
6 Bartlett: When called into action he had everything covered – solid in his area and showing confidence;
6 Halliday: Perhaps not as much of a stand-out performance as his other two, but still impressive and solid
7 HARRISON: Looking back to his best – confident in possession and read the game well in the middle of the back four
6 Boyce: Again did what was expected of a centre-half – no frills defending, and did the simple things well
6 Carroll: Superb delivery for the opening goal and stood his ground to keep Pools on top all afternoon;
7 Bates: Used his experience and nous to offer an extra defensive line from his midfield role. Always comfortable in there
5 Woods: Always on edge of the game without exerting a great deal of influence. Booking keeps him out of the Tuesday’s match
6 Featherstone: His late break from deep to take possession from Paynter was key to the winning goal;
5 Fenwick: Worked away, and while he scored, he’s more of a direct threat playing up top through the middle
6 Paynter: Uses his nous and game intelligence to get the better of defenders – as proved on many occasions
5 Oates: Tried to force openings on the right side with his pace and direct running
Subs:
Oyenuga (for Fenwick 65): Created the winning goal as his shot turned into an assist 5
Walker (for Woods 80)
Smith (for Oates 90)
(not used): Hawkins, Jones, Nearney, Denton.
MAN OF THE MATCH Scott Harrison – may not have been himself in the early part of the season, but he certainly is now
