Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore will be back in the Victoria Park dug-out for Tuesday's League Two game with Newport after an improvement in his daughter's health.

Moore jetted out to Spain to be with his daughter Charlotte after she contracted pneumonia on holiday and has missed the last two games - the 1-0 Capital One Cup win at Fleetwood and Saturday's 2-1 league victory at York - as a result with assistant Sam Collins taking charge.

But Moore will be back at Victoria Park on Tuesday, although he has revealed he will take a back-seat for the night.

Writing in his programme notes ahead of the game, he said: "I will probably leave Sam to take the lead again on Tuesday because he's done all the planning and put things in place while I've been away.

"I would like to thank everyone for their messages of support during what has been a difficult week. I have received so many nice messages on Twitter from fans - and not just Hartlepool fans either, fans from all over the country, which was outstanding, really.

"It's funny but I was thinking if this continues I could be in line for Manager of the Month - and I've only seen one of the games so far!

"It's great I have a 100 per cent record and Sam has a 100 per cent record but we were in fourth place when I left the country and now we've dropped to fifth!"

Pools are likely to be without defender Harry Worley (ankle) for the game, after he was wiped out by York striker Reece Thompson on Saturday. Matthew Bates is in line to replace him.
