AFTER their Great Escape at the end of last season, Hartlepool United will kick off the new campaign in League Two with a home game against Morecambe.

Ronnie Moore's side host Morecambe on August 8, with their opening away game of the season taking them to nearby York City seven days later.

Pools are at home on Boxing Day, hosting Notts County, with a trip to Carlisle United scheduled for the weekend between Christmas and New Year on December 28.

The opening game of 2016 sees Pools making the long trip to Newport County on January 2, with the club's final home game of the season pitting them against Portsmouth on April 30.

Pools finish the campaign with a long trip to the South-West to face Plymouth Argyle on May 7.
