Bookings: Scowan (20, foul); Austin (45, foul), Hawkins (85, foul)
Sending-off: Hawkins (second bookable offence, foul 87)
Referee: Darren Deadman (Lincoln): Could have gave Hawkins a straight red rather than a second yellow card 7
Attendance: 3,607
Entertainment: 3/5
WYCOMBE WANDERERS (4-3-3): Ingram 6; Jombati 6, MAWSON 7, Pierre 7, Jacobson 7; Scowen 6, Wood 6, Murphy 6; Holloway 5 (Craig 90), Hayes 7, Onyedinma 7. Subs (not used): Richardson (gk), Lewis, Bloomfield, Fletcher, Rowe.
HARTLEPOOL UNITED (4-3-3):
6 Flinders: Handling good, but will be disappointed to be caught out at his near post for the goal;
5 Duckworth: Lost possession in the opposition area which led to the goal, but couldn’t really be faulted
7 HARRISON: Solid and determined at the back – can be satisfied with his return to the club
7 Jones: Had the knack of making some important blocks and interceptions, looking like a promising centre-half
4 Austin: Again culpable for another goal. His form has disappeared with his positional sense;
6 Bates: Played further forward and isn’t as exposed in midfield as he is when playing at the back
6 Featherstone: Busier on the ball than he has been at times, but again had times when he went missing
6 Tshibola: Looked raw at times and inexperienced, but added some strength and mobility to midfield;
4 Compton: Tried to get in behind the defence and used his pace on occasions to good effect, but his final decision making was poor
6 Bingham: A little isolated at times in the middle, but showed he can get in behind defences and will be better for having someone alongside him
4 Franks: When he was replaced instantly after failing again to deliver from a good position out wide it said everything about his performance.
Subs:
Hawkins (for Franks 73)
Fenwick (for Featherstone 83)
(not used): Maxted (gk), Holden, Walker, Richards, Green.
MAN OF THE MATCH
SCOTT Harrison – brought some strength and leadership to the back four
