THE Quakers’ game against Wrexham tomorrow has been cancelled because of a frozen pitch.
The referee made the decision following a pitch inspection at the stadium this morning.
The cancellation means Darlington may not have a money-spinning home game until March.
The club has three away games planned later this month.
A fixture against Luton Town due to take place at the end of the month has been postponed following their progression into the next round of the FA Trophy.
The cancellation is unwelcome news for the club, which was placed in administration last month and is desperate for cash to avoid liquidation.
A meeting was held last night in an attempt to unify fans’ groups behind one plan to secure the club’s future.
The Northern Echo is awaiting news from the various groups to confirm if the meeting was a success.
