IT is being reported that the administrator of Darlington Football Club has set a deadline of noon today for all bids to take over the club to be submitted to him.
He has also reportedly said that he will make a decision on those bids by noon tomorrow.
The Northern Echo understands that there are two strong potential interested parties: the rescue group made up of local businessmen and property developers interested in building a eco-housing development at the Neasham Road site.
Rumours abound of a third interested party - said to be known to Darlington fans.
However, there is nothing to confirm this rumour.
The administrator has said that without credible bids, he will have no alternative but to liquidate the club.
