Darlington are heading to Holland as part of their pre-season preparations this summer.

Quakers will take on Jong PSV in Eindhoven on Saturday, July 14 as part of their build up to the new National League North season.

The game will be at the training facilities of PSV – De Herdgang - on the outskirts of the city, some 5k out of the centre.

Jong PSV are PSV Eindhoven’s reserve team, and play in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, one division below their Premier League.

Quakers’ new shirt sponsors Ebac have helped fund part of the trip and while players have contributed part of their salary, with  directors John Tempest and David Johnston contributing to the shortfall.

Manager Tommy Wright said: “I feel honoured to have been invited to play this friendly away in Eindhoven and at their amazing training facility which is currently undergoing huge redevelopment.

“It will be a great experience for the lads and a great weekend away for the fans. I have good friendships with all of the staff there and I’m sure we will be made to feel very welcome during our visit.”

Entrance to the match (1pm) is free.
