DARLINGTON have made their first new signing of the summer with the recruitment of defender Dom Collins.

The 26-year-old was a regular in the AFC Fylde team which won the National League North title last season, and becomes the Martin Gray’s first addition to his squad for the 2017-18 season.

Collins, who played in Darlington’s 4-1 defeat at Fylde towards the end of last season, has signed a two-year deal with Darlington.

He was released by Fylde after two years with the club having previously played for Southport and Hereford among others.

In recent weeks Gary Brown, Kevin Burgess, Phil Turnbull, Nathan Cartman and Mark Beck have all signed two-year contracts to extend their stays with Darlington.
