JOSH FALKINGHAM has informed Darlington that he is to leave the club in order to join Harrogate Town.
The midfielder is out of contract at Quakers, so the club will not receive a fee from a club which is going full-time this summer.
Falkingham joined Darlington last September from Dunfermline, and during the second half of the season was one of the squad’s most consistent and reliable performers.
Darlington manager Martin Gray is understood to be very disappointed to lose the player, and there is continued concern about the future of striker Mark Beck who is also out of contract.
After scoring 18 goals in his maiden season with the club, Beck has attracted interest from a host of clubs in the North-East.
Falkingham’s exit comes a day after Raj Singh performed a u-turn on his intention to invest in the club.
The Teesside businessman had a change of heart after reading online criticism from some Quakers fans in response to his proposed involvement in the club.
