DARLINGTON Football Club have announced that Saturday's match against Nuneaton will no longer be an all ticket game.

After receiving feedback following the club's homecoming match on Boxing Day, cash turnstiles will be available on the day.

The club said: "The match will also be unsegregated which will increase both the viewing experience and facilities for home and away fans."

In a statement on Darlington Football Club's website, they offered the following guide to the facilities available on the day:

Access

Please arrive early, turnstiles open at 1-30pm. There will be turnstiles for both tickets and cash on the day entry.

The kick off will not be delayed for late arrivals and there is only so much capacity to process tickets if the majority of people turn up in the last 30 minutes.

Please have your ticket available as you approach the turnstile and the right change for cash payments would be appreciated.

Cash on the day admission does take longer so please allow plenty of time, please note that are unable to take any sort of card payment, it is cash only.

Admission prices are £12 adults, £8 concessions and £4 children under 16.

Seating

All seating is allocated and season ticket holders, 500 Club and President Club members should now be aware of the seating numbers. If you don’t know please contact the stand steward on the day who will direct you to your seat.

Bar Facilities

Until the sports bar is complete (estimated as early February) the rugby club has agreed to open the main bar facilities to all fans in the Tom Watson Room. Bar facilities will be open from 1-30pm till 6pm.

Please note no drinks will be served during the game. The room has a capacity that will be strictly enforced under the rules of the licence and we apologise in advance if we cannot accommodate everyone who wants to use the facility.

The Quaker Club members will have access to the lounge facility in the club house along with members of the presidents club. Please show proof of membership on the day. Door stewards will be on site so please ensure you have your card with you to identify yourself.

Parking and travel

There is limited pay parking available on the day at £5 per car, all paid parking will be on a strictly first come first served basis.

Anyone who has a pre-paid parking season ticket or intends to drive to the ground for paid parking needs to be there by 2-30pm at the very latest or they will not have access to the car park for safety reasons . This rule will be strictly enforced.

Note: the road from the club house to Grange Road including the car park will be closed from 2-30pm to 5-15pm for all traffic except emergency services.

The DFCSG have produced a guide to travel for Blackwell Meadows and can be accessed here.

Refreshments

Refreshments of hot and cold drinks and food will be available in the ground. A revised pricing structure has been agreed after meetings between both the Rugby and Football Club and the intent is that a concessions kiosk will be open for the game between the Tin Shed and seated stand. Further refreshments will be available in the bar pre and post-match.

Programmes

A 56 page match day programme is available for £2.50. Programme sellers will be in the ground along with the 50-50 draw tickets which had a record prize of £600 at the last match.

The revenue for the both our very popular programme and 50-50 draw tickets go directly to the club and your support in purchasing these is appreciated. Please bring change with you on the day to assist the volunteers.

Toilet facilities

Toilet facilities are available in the ground in both the home and away ends adjacent to the turnstiles .

Help / first aid / instructions

The stewards and staff of the club are there to help you. If for any reason first aid is required ,the first aid point is at the club house or contact the nearest steward. They are in radio contact and will get help as required.

If you are instructed by a steward or official for any reason to do something or cease doing something we would ask for your cooperation.

Exiting the ground

Please be patient when leaving the ground and exiting down Grange Road . On Grange Road please remain on the footpath for your own personal safety. No cars will leave the car park areas until the surrounding area has cleared in the interests of pedestrian safety.

Finally

We would kindly ask you to respect all the volunteers and your fellow supporters on the day and be patient and tolerant as we adjust to our new home in Darlington. If possible, allow younger supporters to stand near the front to give them a better view. Enjoy the game and most importantly let’s make this a memorable match for all the right reasons.
