DARLINGTON today completed the signing of attacking midfielder Tom Davie.

The 21-year-old has joined on loan from Bradford PA and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's game at Brackley.

Davie joined Bradford in the summer and impressed boss Martin Gray last month when he was his team’s best player against Darlington, playing as a left-sided wing-back and hitting the post when the score was 0-0 during a match Quakers went on to win 2-1.

He scored against Gray’s men last season, a header for Frickley in a 3-1 Darlington defeat, while his previous clubs also include Gainsborough Trinity and North Ferriby United, having been with Hull City as a youngster.

Davie’s arrival is the third loan transaction Darlington have completed since their last game a fortnight ago, Amar Purewal and Adam Nowakowski having since left the club for temporary spells.

Nowakowski has swapped with Davie, going to bottom-of-the-table Bradford PA, and Purewal is at Shildon, for whom he made his debut last Saturday against Dunston UTS.
